Yup def not in Oklahoma. I got the "hey come chat for a sec" and closed door "your position has been eliminated, is there anything you immediately need from your cube?" HR took over the rest of the layoff.

It was emotionless and you're nothing to us attitude. then again I was just one of many that day. One revolving door of departures.

They don't give you the letter to sign then for exactly that reason. They send it by registered mail later.

You can sue at anytime. If you win a settlement the severance package payout will be deducted from the settlement along with lawyer fees and expenses.

SEEMS LIKE EVEN IF YOU SIGNED AN AGREEMENT NOT TO SUE, WOULD IT HOLD UP IN COURT. SEEMS LIKE YOU SIGN UNDER STRESS AND EVEN THE SEVERANCE COULD BE CONSIDERED A BRIBE.
