There is a Hiring Spree in the Auto Industry. They are looking for Engineers. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/09/auto-industry-hiring-spree_n_3411531.html
only problem is that a Petroleum Engineer can't really go to another industry while Mech, Civil, Chemical, Aerospace, Nuclear and Industrial engineers could and should.
This is yet another example of how ignorant of business most engineers at Chevron appear to be. What jobs for engineers in the U.S, auto industry? How about sanitation engineer at one of the thousands of dealerships? You can CPDEP that as you mop the restrooms.
Fiat owns Chrysler, the unions own GM and Ford is expanding in Mexico.
VW could probably use a good CPDEP, right about now. Obviously, they have not had enough CPDEP.
Many of my colleagues at Chevron came from the auto industry. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, so good luck with that!
Yes
Yes, the Auto Industry is powering the US Economy. Auto Jobs are up, Sales are up, and the industry is employing 1.55 million Americans and growing while generating $500 billion in profits, http://www.autoalliance.org/auto-jobs-and-economics/2015-jobs-report
Are you crazy!!! The largest automobile manufacturer in the U.S, filed for bankruptcy less than 10 years ago, primarily to shed their pension plans. The auto industry is plagued by financial problems. They hire and layoff as much or more than the oil industry...
Yes,Under DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIP these jobs declined. But they all still make vekicles today designed by ENGINEERS!!
