Staffing, finance,IT,library, manufacturing have been trimming steadily for months all the way up to vp eg Ben H. PH can be your friend ,track the newly terminated. These are dire times best to keep informed
@162296 @162299 only because you see only people you know affected.
There have been cuts IT since new CFO joined and it did this time around as well. IT is already lean. Budgets have always been flat and hiring is always limited. It's engineering who spent like crazy over last few years and suffered most in this restructuring.
There is a basic flaw in your thinking...that finance actually adds value.
You guys ride on the coattails of great engineering.
Engineers are now frustrated and making exit plans because we are in the liquidation phase....its a dying company
Good luck to all the lawyers, finance and MBAs...its in your hands now.
Important to not cut the corporate jet division, employees flying coach are hurting QC's bottom line.
@Anonymous162299 - all you would see is those around you who were affected not the one you don't work with. IT has been cutting ever since the new CFO came in board. But since IT is unimportant to engineering ... It didn't happen right?
Staffing and finance are much more important for Qcom now since we need to be leaner than before.
It's been discussed before, but finance tends to run lean. The layoff numbers don't lie. QREF definitely needed to be cut back, hopefully that happened. Least they could do is outsource some more and consolidate buildings as much as possible.
Woah dropping names quick way to get this thread deleted, although also not a fan.
Sure they only got rid of useless in finance
Very few? Don't you mean "none"? I only see engineers getting affected.
