We know because we were specifically told to expect an important announcement Monday about the state and structure of our company, region and store. I was told it would be an email..ugh... wow.
I agree …this communication medium is about to explode with traffic if not already and it is only a matter of time before a national media medium plugs in and the damage to the brand is irrevocable. All could have been avoided with some simple Public and Team Member relations. Getting out if front of it…. I've seen the writing on the wall for months so I am ready to ride the wave one last time.
Rumors, rumors flying... It's incredible how our internal Change Management and Communication folks blew this whole thing... They should have communicated timely and clearly with all of us, setting the expectations, scope and timeline. None of that happened, look at the chaos they created, with thousand so people looking at these threads and 200+ shares on Social Media today. Just wait until the news outlets and media wake up and plug in on the threads here, imagine the damage that will do to the brand. Had this happened a few years ago they might have been able to control things, now with sites like this and all folks connected via phones, nothing can be hidden - just look at the torrent of messages that got accumulated here - I see 30 threads with probably 200 responses and several thousands of replies. Nothing short of amazing....
