Definitely not a hoax. I've worked my ass off for them for eight years, along with my fellow team members. The end is here, and I can't say that they don't deserve it.

I can see why people wouldn't believe it. Whole Foods was always above board and had a statement ready. For the first time in the 10 years I've been assiciated with them, they're hiding. Anyone who has been with Whole Foods for even 5 years would never belive this could happen. But it's completely true. And I don't believe that this is the last. Tomorrow when the regional offices are open I believe more people will be out of work.
Absolutely not a hoax. I was laid off Friday. I think this was a blessing in disguise though.
And you believe everything you read on the internet?
.....I didnt think so
Someone should add Snopes to the contact list. The fact that someone would ask this with all of the information posted is almost laughable, but more sad because it goes to show how many team members/stores/regions are in the dark and will be completely blindsided this week.
All regions will have cuts! What the terms are for each store is still unknown.
I am buyer in Pacific NW region. And am a little more than nervous about my job.
Are all regions affected?
No! I've worked for WFM for 5 years and my position in the South Region has been eliminated!
No this is not a hoax, from what we know at our store could be more than 1400 tm in each region
Definitely not. I am a team trainer who was told I have to attend a meeting tomorrow morning with other trainers and supervisors of my store. Should be an interesting day.
I have friends of a decade who are now out of a job, so, no.
