Go ask for an add. It's another place to vent and stay informed!

I checked the privacy terms here, layoff.com does not not collect any information - if you post, they save IP address that's disclosed only if there is a physical threat to property or life of visitors or others. I would never trust Facebook with anything, things that are 'private' are not private, they leak information to search engines, you never know when your name is going to pop up in Google (happened to me a couple of times after I commented on some groups even I have my profile flagged as private)

If you haven't done this already, make sure your Facebook is completely friends only. My advice, delete your bosses coworkers etc from Facebook. This is going to turn into an "every man for himself" deal. No matter how friendly you are with your boss or peers, when it comes to people's livelihoods, things get cutthroat. Just my two cents.

STL's and TL's were advised it would be a good idea to monitor team members accounts on FB.

This site "thelayoff.com" should be safe, that is. Not the Facebook page. Stay far away from that. Regardless of severance offered you could still be fired for violation of policy and receive nothing if you haven't signed and walked. Best to be smart and play it safe. If you're still employed, do your job as you normally would until you land your new position or officially exit the company.

This site should be safe as long as there is no libelous information posted. Let's make sure to keep it truthful and about our emotions and support.

Definitely don't use the Facebook. A couple of people I work with and a couple from a store nearby just had closed door conversations about things they posted on FB. MW

I would not use Facebook. It says in our general information guide that you have to be careful what you say about Whole Foods on your FB.

It is safer here. What if HR joins the facebook page using a fake account and start tracking who says what, who rants or likes. They already have a strong relationship with FB, our advertising spend with them is in millions and Social team seems to be adding headcount every month. I would steer clear...

I hope folks will also keep using this site--I don't trust Facebook's privacy policies, so don't use it.
