They have us fighting against each other for our own jobs! Not what this company used to be about... But just to give my 2 cents, I'm in SO region, and our store was the guinea pig for all of this restructure. We had our first round of layoffs 6 months ago. Cut HSH, laid off an artist, cut demo to pt, combined meat/seafood, combined bakery /prep foods, combined grocery, specialty AND whole body, laid off an ASTL, and laid off or 'restructured' several tls and atls in this process. Had second round saturday. Didn't even know what was happening until they handed us severance packages. People moved half way across the country with 10 plus yrs with wfm to open a new store, just to have their jobs taken away from them. This company is such a dissapointment now. If anyone has any info on how the severance packages are paid out, I would love to know. Be strong, family.

"Black Friday" 9/25 everyone was blindsided. some had heard rumors which they shared on Thursday night while we were doing inventory. Today everyone was very a little more angry and planning on taking the money. Core values?
Wondering what the news will be tomorrow in SP. I work on the Regional Team and we are bloated in my opinion but somehow I know it will be my level of position that will be eliminated.
Severance!?! When I was run out in 2012 for being a whistle blower as an RSS there was no severance! I was told one months salary or find another position in 30 days. But I was blacklisted by my region and they made sure no one would hire me. Severance are you flipping kidding me. They showed no respect to a 15 yr veteran and regional all star. WFM can eat a bag of shit!
SP region TM clueless until tomorrow. Are they down sizing regional and global or is this just the people actually on the ground making the money and putting in the hard work!? 9 years and I might be jobless by the end of next week! F*** globa, don't stay silent, share your info to other regions if you can. People should know.
they're getting rid of most PBS positions too, no wonder they are clueless! even regional is pretty clueless. only about 3-5 people per regional team know. Our store leadership was all blindsided as well

I saw the formula, thank you. But I was more curious as to how it will be paid out. I'm concerned because taxes might be taken out and I'm hoping that the company will absorb some of the blow if I'm granted a lump sum. I spoke with my PBS today and she was just as clueless as the rest of us unfortunately. I want to know now because they expect us to make a decision this Friday which doesn't even seem fair considering the interviews aren't even until mid October. .
In my gig it has the formula for the severance package. I'm not sure if its the same for every region however.
