Close to 50 expats, mostly from Canada, UK, Kazakhstan, South Africa. About 4 or 5 of them going back. Mostly Canadians.

You have a great idea! I have heard they are returning the white, red-neck, red-blooded American Ex-Pats from their overpaid jobs overseas to the unemployment lines in this great country, the USA. I know this because I talked to one over the weekend and he will be losing his job in early October. I know another red-blooded American who will be sent to a foreign country on an overpaid Ex-pat assignment. It is sad to think he is taking a job away from a knowledgeable, competent foreign national who could do the job for 25% of the cost. I hope the management takes your advice!
