Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Spirit Values?

COP overall had a pretty good safety culture and record. However, in my opinion, how the management handled the layoffs over the past 6 months has demonstrated a complete lack of ethics, integrity, and trust. SPIRT values my ass!

Nothing I did not say while gainfully employed at ConocoPhillips. ConocoPhillips only retains the individuals willing to sacrifice the first child to the company. (via Kool-Aid, of course)

This is a safe place to vent. There, there - let it all out.

SPIRIT Values. Safety, unless you are a contractor. People, unless you are a minority. Integrity, unless it costs money. Responsibility, unless the well is dry. Innovation, unless change is required. Teamwork, unless you are not from a focus university.

The company split is an example of the arrogance associated with the corporate culture. At all costs ConocoPhillips would no longer be second fiddle. As noted time and time again, ConocoPhillips is (quote) the world's largest independent exploration and production company (end quote). One the road to bankruptcy, but the world's largest independent exploration and production company.
