Those of us who did question the red flags we saw were lied to. We were told no one will lose their job, there will be some positional changes but we will take care of everyone. No financial targets posted, don't worry. It must be a computer glitch. We had no reason not to trust our company. We have been dedicated, loyal employees with the best interests of our customers and vendors. My leadership lied to my face, as their's did. It is as ugly as it gets.

It's a surprise because we trusted this company to be open and honest with us about everything. It's the biggest reason we've never had a union - we TRUSTED the company to have our best interests at heart. If something like this was happening, we should have had notice that layoffs were coming. We should have had direct communication from someone in the company. NOT the day it happens. NOT through rumors from other regions. NOT from the media. It should have come from within. That is why it is such a big deal. They told us to trust them, that our jobs were ours to lose, that we were important and needed. Now it just feels uncertain and scary. What if this round isn't enough? Will we get any warning before it happens again?

When a sociopath starts company and hires more sociopaths to run it for him, this is the result.

How about having the dignity to admit that you destroyed a company, and cost thousands of people that made you millions of dollars, their livelihood? That would be something, right?
