Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

MA

Not much info to go off of. Lot of rumors but lost a store artist and bulk buyer. I love this company and feel they do put their money where their mouth is. Products are of higher quality and they do take care of TM's but christ who's running this? So many resources are wasted on TM development when in fact a high percentage will turn over. There's many new TMs who will move on after college, then there's the oldtimers who are making way north of 15 an hour and have no incentive to move up and are essentially dead weight. Right in the middle are the passionate TM's and TL's and they are the ones who are affected. Cut the dead weight, and slow down on developing people who may no longer work here in a years time and there's your money. Hope this corrects itself before it gets worse.

Hopefully NorCal region doesn't decide to axe bulk buyers, I guess I'll find out tomorrow...

Tim Martin can't even compose an email. He loves huge, money wasting, useless displays, and always makes a point of bringing them up. "Hey, look how much money we're wasting with $3,000 of Honest lemonade". "We need to get behind this product"." Reach out with any questions on how you can also fail miserably in business". "Why is there so much spoilage on the Honest lemonade?"

I could t agree more, and yes anamaria is like a numbers robot with no sense of store realities. This group of coordinators is the worst. Ellen is the only good one

Tim Martin should definitely lose his job. He's an absolute moron, as welll as AnnaMaria Friede (or whatever her name is) she has zero product knowledge, or retail sense.

Word is that some coordinators like Tim Martin and Amy Johnson suggested that bulk buyers and beer and wine buyers could be done without. This is such a sad day for our company. I wish these team members the best. The cuts really should have been from the TOP
