Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Layoffs are Just the Beginning

So the upper - sociophobic- folks that now run the company- minus Walter Robb who is just a baby kisser without a clue- have managed once again to steer the company down the wrong path- just like the Wild Oats purchase- we really needed 200+ stores doing 85k per week!!! For 3/4's of a billion dollars!! Or building stores to one up the other regions- Brooklyn is 115 plus million for a grocery store- really!! How many jobs could have that paid for?? Feeding egos is all the masses do- it's a joke. This used to be a bottom up company and now its all top down- Mackey should stop writing books and start his tours again where he would hit stores unannounced and chat with folks- now the only info he gets is through his egotistical RP's that are only trying to save their own asses. He once said he will not accept "bullying style" management from anyone- Guess what- all your RP's are doing it!! All the visits now are staged events- they will blow labor for a visit but customers get shit- All of the old guards- except Flash are gone and ass-kissing all about them RP's are running the show- when was the last time a new store came in on budget? It's all ego and the TM's are expendable- it's disgusting and no one is in touch with the TM's anymore. Really you made a video to cover the NY stores overcharging- they were not all mistakes- people's jobs were threatened to make margin- wake up. She's got you all fooled!!! And by the way your people are grossly underpaid- now that there is competition- never really had it before- oh I forgot Wild Oats- hah!!- everyone will leave to make market salaries- and EVA only works when you are comping in sales- the rest of the time STL's are not repairing equipment or investing in TM's- they are trying to pay their mortgages. This great- idea - built on integrity and pride- is blowing up- these layoffs are a perfect example- eliminating buyers- really- you should have had cao- (computer aided ordering) years ago but all the IT funds went to making the stores cool- really- just goes to show you that management is asleep at the wheel. Sorry to all the folks getting the axe- everyone I know that left is in a much better place!! Good Luck!!

2 things, how far away is wfm Cao ordering. So if it isn't ready to go now why start making cuts to buyers. And wfm sold is soul when they went public.

_lucky im gone...you are spot on with this...their growth strategy for the last ten years has been really haphazard..and especially after the stock price collapse in 2014 and now this hack idea with the 365 stores that came up after earnings this may made the stock fall again.. too much store to store cannibalisation..its a niche market that cant compete well with the conventional groceries who now know how to work around the "good organics law" this chumps help pass back in the day...i hear everyday down here in the florida region how the customers "still have to stop at publix" (our biggest competitor here) daily...they got the o.g salads and produce and greenwise meats..similar wine selections and they sell items that many households want-bleach,ajax,coca-cola,donuts that dont cost 2.50 each...etc....
