Total number cut in OKC

I'm really curious to hear how many people are cut in OKC tomorrow. I wish everyone the best but the fact is that the market is bleak right now and there just aren't enough jobs available to absorb everyone. Good luck, stay positive and eventually you might find another job.

You can start collecting immediately if your severance is paid in one lump sum. If you are paid bi-weekly you can collect every other week. It is around 400 a week I believe up to like 10k a year or something to that effect? You have to apply for a couple jobs each week, and they may audit you where you then have to go into an office and prove youve been applying. They also may send you to a resume class. I could be wrong on this, but this is my understanding.

I love how we continue to see these words of encouragement/daggers in the back posts. "Eventually you MIGHT find a job"...thanks!!! I'm sure you are really rooting for us! And thanks for telling us how bleak the job market is, we aren't aware. Totally oblivious.

There are several locations in the OKC area. Hopefully HR will provide some insight. Back in 2004 I was laid off from a different job and you weren't eligible for unemployment until any severance you received was over, so as an example if our severance went through Dec 31st you weren't eligible until January and then there is a one week delay. Weekly unemployment benefit payments are weekly and now direct deposit. Have your last W2 handy, they need employer ID to start your claim. Contact them immediately to iniate the process but hope we all find jobs before severance runs out. Yes. I've been doing my homework as well. Good luck to us all.

Anyone who was cut back in 2013 have any info about collecting unemployment? I'm trying to get prepared and I don't know anything about it.
