Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Whole Foods eliminating Whole Paychecks for its employees.

Whole Foods employees spend a lot of their salary at Whole Foods. The way I see it, if they cut your salary that is less money you will have to spend at WF. Although it is convenient to shop were you work, I suggest you start shopping at farmers markets that sale organic produce and local butchers that have free range chickens and meat raised without antibiotics and hormones. Trust me, you will actually save money shopping elsewhere.

Profits are up from same quarter a year ago. Whole Foods corporate just greedy, they don't care about the consumers or employees.

***First quarter profits are generally higher in the industry as noted below.

Yep! This is absolutely true. My boyfriend and I while we worked at WFM pretty much exclusively shopped there and easily spent $600+ per month on groceries. It's weird shopping at other stores now, but honestly I don't know if I can shop at WFM again. Sad.

It appears that the post did not post in the table layout I had intended. Bottom line, profits are up, just not up high enough for corporate. As far as stock being down, nearly every stock is down thanks to the overseas markets.
