Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

WFM-SO: I was the biggest Whole Foods fan for the longest, even before working for them. I tell you now, the feeling I first had...

I promise you, there sould be no conflictions. I'm a team member from the WFM-SO for 3 1/2 years and my buyer this morning, showed up at 5 am, completed her shift counting backstock inventory, and announce her last hour of work that today would be her last day with the company. This team member was Deeply regarded by the entire store and was often recognized. Second team member of the quarter for the history of the store. She believed in free love, not working for anyone other than those whom you could regard as family, and in water. Man, im telling you... I was the biggest Whole Foods fan for the longest, even before working for them. I tell you now, the feeling I first had from whole foods - including the first dinner cooked ever, that those ingredients derived from - has stuck with me for so long now. Almost 10 years, it's a business now and not a culture. No an individual store will ever make you feel like home as of these changes. These changes are severely not customer service friendly. It will affect even the most classic WFM stores of all. Quality is going to suffer. t's already been suffering. Did you know that there is seriously becoming no benefit to shopping at this store? Sure, the grocery team member to show you product helps you with finding the new ingredients for your diet, but honestly, in 18 months - there will be an app for that. An no longer will it be okay for an employee to ask about your day, or god forbid,if you need assistance! Because truly, everyone listens to themselves. To add their environments, which consume them in their trip, are comprised of processed, compressed and synthesized musical environments. "Walking around, head full of sound, acting like- We don't exist." But in all honesty, more work = more stress, more standing behind a computer for 8hr a day > sitting in an office chair 9-5. More keeping that display pretty while serving more customers, yet "not being there." Whole foods used to understand the term, "we exist." They told us that in committing to us "Team member satisfaction and happiness, is guaranteed." However, now John Mackey believes that I - the 20 something who doesn't quite know what they want will be fine on their own. They dont need a community or understanding on a more spiritual level the importance of learning through friends and mentors. Their all now just a bunch of jocks. Jocks whom are fighting one another to be the best. I just thought, it was all about everyone being the best at something. To own yourself and your beliefs, but to contribute the best of you toward a greater cause. Whole foods has let down their foundation, and for doing so will fall. They will fall and succumb with down-sloped shoulders because they are burning bridges without loving. Without a two week notice, approaching the holiday season. They've left us to fend for ourselves and they I truly believe are trying to separate themselves from the floor. I can see why some see buyout as a reason of restructure. Risky Ass Move Whole Foods Market.
