Read on this board sometime ago about upcoming layoffs in October -- 25% or whatever. What is the latest info on that?

That should say next week could be ugly.
The Alpha and Enterprise ROM notifications go out next week. Hundreds of people worldwide were trying to get into 187 jobs posted on the PDC site. I don't think any were open for expats and few were open for in country relocation. There are about 30 jobs still on the PDC site so I assume only 157 jobs were filled. For IT folks in Alpha there were only 17-18 IT jobs posted globally. That's not much to choose from. Next would could be ugly.
That is true.... If you were left standing in a ROM, your exit may be coming up soon in October. Some folks who were given an October exit date may have had it extended to Dec 31 for business needs.
Doubt it unless it's the ROM people. The reason I say this is everyone I know in the RAE has received several weeks of notice before release date. Also I know of a contractor who received 3 months notice for hand over.
Rumor has it October 19th, will be the last day for many downtown Houston.
Or not.
