Is this a thing? With a severance package? Because this is not the place I want to work for anymore.

Stay as long as you can and see if they offer you something.
The want you to quit, you'd be doing them a favor. But do you really think they're going to do you any favors or spend money if they don't have to?
They are trying to make us feel like we need to quit, they want to replace us with fresh new pt-ers who aren't eligible for benefits and don't remember how things used to be or know that they should expect better. and I agree with everyone that says they will be finding/inventing reasons to fire others in the months to come. That would mean no severance, and where I live no unemployment if they can say you got fired for a reason.
