Sure, let's discontinue high selling items-that are somepeople's favorite items-for bullshit reasons like "they don't tell a story" and "they're not whole foods enough", but not provide suitable replacements, that'll for sure get us sales. Oh, and on top of laying people off, let's slash labor targets because if you're not in a flashy dept like WB or Specialty, you're not important. Oh that target worked in Austin and Dallas so it'll work everywhere, right? Regardless of all other factors outside of "really close to global so gets visited by regional meddlers who get lied to so they'll go away"?

I can't stress enough how TRUE this is. Bring it up when they ask your opinion, and you have a "bad attitude."

F*** you, I lost hard working team members because of this bullshit. I take my job extremely seriously, that's why when my guests, team members, and local vendors are impacted by stupid ass decisions and inept behavior by my regional team, I get really pissed off. My problem is less that things got discoed (even for completed asinine reasons) but that NOTHING was added to replace those specific items, and they were big sellers.
Camels and Doritos? How about not pushing everything out of frozen to give space to saffron road that no one cares about. Or how much money we give to susty party so they can make $8 paper plates no one will buy? I forgot we gave them loans to feed our own ego
