MTLs were NOT banned from posting on personal social media pages. They were "banned" from posting on WFM pages, which was part of their former job description. I don't think anything is wrong with this since the position was eliminated.

Only WFM accounts
We were told not to post anything to STORE pages today in the NA. Our regional social media grunt is now in charge of all the accounts (which honestly, sounds terrible for him). We can do whatever we want on our own accounts. We were told via an email from our regional PR person, and again on a conference call designed to tell us what will become of our jobs.
We got a "blackout" email yesterday for "respect" of "restructured" team members. I still have a high leadership job FOR NOW!? It's such bullshit. Gag orders for social media because the company image is being exposed for what it really is???? Mackey would be ashamed if he had any say anymore
I think you mean they were told to not post to store social media accounts for two days - no one has said anything about banning anyone from personal social media use. Let's stick to the facts here, folks. This is bad enough - don't make it worse by making things up or jumping to conclusions.
From WFM Accounts....
This company is above the law. We make our own laws.
Sounds illegal to me.
thats messed up. If anyone gets fired at my store they don"t allow them to talk to anyone. A lady got fired in my department, i didn't realize and asked her a question. The ASTL said "hey, you can"t talk to her" and "don't talk to him". ridiculous
You're right, social media account went dark.
That sounds fishy to me. How do you know this? I'm in the NA, and have heard nothing like this.
Isn't that a violation of their First Amendment right to free speech? You can't "ban" someone from a constitutional right....oh yeah, WFM is a corporate dictatorship, not a democracy.
