Are they being cut, or are they safe? I can't see them making too many cuts in the PFDS department considering how much product needs to be order daily.

Agree with post below.... PFDS buying is just that, with the exception of never having seen my buyer cost out a recipe in my 4 years as a cook here. Though, who is gonna scan the ridiculous amount of South Kitchen and freshpack shrink now?!?! Oh knoessss
PFDS buying is way more difficult than any grocery buying. Get a clue. You can't just point a scan gun at a barcode and have your order done for you in prep foods. You don't have the same spoilage challenges, you don't have to cost out recipes, and you sure as hell don't have the same margin challenge.
I wouldn't be so sure about that. They did two rounds in my region
Everyone who is affected in the Midwest has already been notified.
All buyers are being offered severance packages or the ability to apply for any of the reduced number of buyer positions. so yes, it is, but you will have the ability to reapply if you don't take the money and run.
They cut grocery who orders way more than prep so don't be so sure
