Hi! I am on a final warning for attendance that will last another few months. Are people with final warnings being fired or layed off? Do they receive the severance package? I am debating leaving if I am at danger of being fired unexpectedly rather than layed off with severance pay.

I was separated from wholefoods for clocking out and leaving as scheduled.
They did not ask me to stay longer.
I would have done it willingly.
I was told I bailed and left them hanging.
Is this legal?

Hi, I missed one meeting in whole foods because I was used to my schedule, which 3 days a week and I was doing something for school at the time. Then, they talked to me and put me on a final. I never missed any of my shift besides that one meeting and I was never late on my regular shift. Are they going to fire me whenever they want to?
Hi previous poster, moron. The fact that you can just share that information as if you were victimized by Whole Foods just blows my mind. You harassed people and stole and think that Whole Foods (which I despise by the way) treated you unfairly? You must have a very difficult time not coming off as completely pathetic.

Well the store j worked for had a sweep a year ago. They fired all TM that had a FINAL on their records. People here don't understand that if whole foods is willing to take out a whole department. Why don't you think they will do the same to others? On the GIG book in 2013 the company out on the first page that you can be terminated from the company for no reason what so ever. This company is still trying to make changes and things can either go bad or worst ATM
Hey! I have terrible attendance but it's because I have a life outside of Hole Foods. I rarely get my requested days off. I had to skip work because they scheduled me on my birthday. I hate Hole Foods so much. Everything about it
you cannot be fired for being on final. you need to be counseled again.(read your GIG)

Our grocery buyer was on a final for t and a and walked away with severance because he was handed the layoff paperwork that all the grocery buyers receieved. Which is maddening. So yes, if you are on a final and receive layoff paperwork you just won the lottery because honestly you should have been fired months ago for not showing up to work. Being on a final means you can't apply to other open positions so you are forced to take the severance.
My frozen buyer got let go because of attendance final. I don't know if he received severance or anything but definitely sketchy.

Hmm. Conflicting stories. I'm also interested in getting a real answer to this question. It seems that being fired for being on your final warning would go against the whole warning system, right? I mean, if you're fired for being on your final warning... isn't that like your next-to-final warning was actually your final warning? It would seem strange for this to be the case.
Finals will be fired with no severance. Why would the company pay you to leave when you don't care about your job?
If they lay you off you get severance (which is a slap in the face to the awesome TMs who are getting the same severance and not on FINAL WARNINGS for having horrible attendance).
