I was a wild oats employee when whole foods bought it out. I became a whole foods employee thanks to that. I watched 6 people in my store get tossed yesterday ... It would have been 8 but two of the positions weren't filled. I saw the fear, anger and hurt in the eyes of people I worked along side for eleven years. I also saw the fear, uncertainty and dread of all of us that remained. I then realized in one sweeping ephiny that no one person should invest so much in something that you are rendered helpless. So I implore all of us that are left... Prepare! This is not the end! They have more crap to dish out and they are waiting till after the holidays to do it! They are going to make sure they have enough of us morons left to drag them over the finish line of another successful holiday season. Then , much like ebbie Scrooge ( pre Marley) they are going to strike 1500 more us down( which really means 9000)... (unless your Johnny boy and you think 10 to 30 people per store actually equals 1500.) considering his math skills maybe he is responsible for the Tare -gate.... Good luck to all of those who were treated to a Johnny boy butt bump ... And good luck to all of us that are left to clean up the mess... God speed!

They've already tested out this new model of having one exceptional individual replace two others and do the work of three. Everyone of you has seen them test this out. We all loved the bump in gainsharing. Now they are phasing most of us out.the company doesn't need us. Being maxed out makes me a target, if I want to keep my job, I have to try to prove that I'm better than two thirds of the team members at doing their job. I know that I probably can, but do want to?
I've thought the same thing. My STL looked me in the f***ing eye and lied to me today. She told me no one else will be laid off. Oh bite me. I'm no fool, I know you need us for holiday season, and I know the mass genocide that awaits us in January. I'm a bulk buyer who still has a job, when hundreds of bulk buyers have been let go across nearly all regions? I'm really that special that you're going to keep me? HA. I'll wait till you send me packing so I can get PAID.
They are to cut most people post holidays. It's all lies to keep people from finding another job now, they need us for the season.
