Do you have any more solid info to share or just this inflammatory opinion? If they can give you job security they are not as powerless as WFM TMs are right now. Anyway, I'm capped out... and at about $5 LESS than the cap used to be a few years ago for the job I do. So a 25¢ raise would be an improvement over WFM's offering! And with a union in place I don't know if they could've gotten away with cutting our pay scale so drastically while actually INCREASING the responsibilities of the position.

I used to be against unions, but I think this company is going to force us into part time positions, slowly. They tried to force me in the beginning of the year. And I am sure they will now. I heavily rely in PWA funds, which I would lose. I think we need someone to help us ensure that we get the keep the little we have left.

My last job had a union, and the dues were $4 a check. When I was suspended while they "intetigated" something, the union made sure that I got pay for every hour missed, and spend the process up. It was worth the money.

Why would you be escorted out? We had a meeting with out STL in which our options were explained to us. I'm pretty stoked that I was offered 8 weeks pay, plus 2 weeks for every year I have, and my PTO payout. I have 22 weeks of pay comming to me and I can claim unemployment until I figure out what to do. Who knows, I may even come back in 6 months after a nice vacation.

If you stay the 8 weeks you have insurance through then. After that you get COBRA for 18 months.

That's terrible. Terrible. I'm so sorry. I don't think you are crazy at all, I think you are right. Clearly they threw team member happiness an excellence out the window. Who will look out for our interests now?

Well, when you get escorted out the job you commit to for so many years by 2 a $$ holes that just sit in their office all day, get home and have to explain to your kids that their mother doesn't have a job anymore because of senseless actions from above. That was by far the hardest thing I'verified ever had to do. Hopefully they'll atleast give me an opportunity for one more chemo treatment until my insurance runs out. Stay Strong my fellow TMs. We made that company great. Good luck to those that are left.

Unionization is the only step we have as a whole. If we want to have a voice in the decisions this company makes, we have to stay ahead and work together. At the end of the day, they don't care about the TMS they have. As witnessed today by so many, Noone has job security and if we want our discharged TMS to have a long lasting Legacy, creating and developing a Union would prevent something like this from happening in the future. God knows the fallen wished they could have acted sooner. Unionize the Mighty Southwest Region!!!! Unionize our sister Regions!!!! Long Live 9/28 (The Darkest, but enlightened time for WFM)
