Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

coming together as 1 480 stores 1 voice 1 family the original whole foodsf

if we as a company are planning to unionize then we need to use other forms of network communication other than the public forum the media needs to get involved and understand the outcry of all the team members involved and how Whole Foods does business overall hypocricy nepotism all of the above the dirty mehods that make this company what has become to be a ruthless company and no longer a company that cares about team member happiness or excellenceI've been with the company for 15 years how to 1310 liters, se SDLs 728 SDLs and a lot of ATL's everybody has put time into this company and dedication and to see you get thrown away like an old rag because you get paid too much and are not deemed worthy because of the amount of money you make is not fair this is just plain and simple corporate greed and their excuse for their failures as regional management or corporate head to trim and released people like nothing when everybody has families to care about bills to pay if not human is not with Whole Foods was about and I'll never be the sameand of unionizing makes this a much more difficult process for the Board of Directors to accomplish their greedy goals then so be it

"Why the hell would want to go UNION.. makes no sense!! trollers!" Why do you say this? Do you have anything to back it up or do you just want to pretend that all your fellow TMs have also swallowed the anti-union koolaid that WFM forced down our throats? I am not the only one who has brought up unionization as something to think about, discuss, investigate. I am not a troll. If you were in my region and I mentioned how long I've been in the company you'd probably know who I am. In the past I was never in favor of unions, but this is not the same company I once loved and respected. It has become too large, too corporate and non-transparent. TMs NEED PROTECTION. If anyone has any real, honest feedback about their experience with unions, specifically I think the UFCW would be the applicable one, I would love to hear it. I really want to consider this situation carefully. Just bad-mouthing unions with nothing to back up your statement is not helpful for any of us.

Is there a character on your keyboard that looks like a period (".") - try to push it sometimes.

pretty sure soon you will go apply at Vons pavilions. You're going to be getting less than 24 hours a week at Whole Foods and they will continue to cut that's the only way its going to go not going to get better one thing is being optimistic another thing is being a realist

That is not the answer. They are restructuring so we can become more efficient. A marketing team at each store doesn't make sense. Neither does a demo person when we have tons of vendors come in to do it.

Aside from wrongful terminations which may be a plenty, unionization will further the problems, not help. Hell I might as well go work at bankrupt Albertson's if that's the case.
