I see a lot of posts saying they wish the layoff would just hurry up and happen. I think a lot of these people are hoping to be let go so they can sit at home and get a check and are tired of having to come to work everyday. It will happen but the longer they hold off, the better. You keep your benefits, if you participate in ESPP you are having a chance at more stock on the cheap and you make more working than you will on unemployment. Not all of us want it to get here. Hold off as long as you can DMC

If you want to work somewhere else, why not try to find another job? You aren't obligated to Halliburton until you get laid off.
just want to work for a company that takes care of its employees
I want it to hurry up and be over. I would like to still be employed at the end tho. So we get one or two more paychecks or another month of insurance, is that gonna put you over the top and solve all your problems if you get laid off? Probably not. I don't want to see anyone lose their job but it's gonna happen. The sooner it does the sooner people can work towards something else.
