Where are you getting the information that Livingston work is going to Baker's

it's not as Livingston works along side with Singapore, Lets hope you guys in Arbroath dont have to go through what we are going through down here,we are been asked to continue as normal, best of luck to everyone in Arbroath

If we got some truthful information from the Halliburton management their would not be any rumours or gossiping.

Would be a real shame to see Arbroath close, but i don't think the situation is being helped by the few people that actually enjoy this situation , despite the rumours and gossip, we simply don't know what's happening and that is unlikely to change anytime soon. We're the low men on the totem pole and will only find out when the Reaper appears.

If merger happens one has to go will it be bakers full of poles and unskilled workers or Arbroath smaller but more versatile with a factory full of top machinests with grounds for expansion let the best man win

Aberdeen manufacturing costs are no longer viable. The North Sea bubble has burst and investment levels no longer stretch to the exuberant salaries that Aberdeen demands. Smart manufacturing, customer satisfaction and a focused lead time reduction is what wins contracts. Why would Chevron, Total, Shell, BP and the rest reduce profit margins just to keep the bloated north east afloat? Simple economics.
