Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

It's just a job

It's just a job at a grocery store. It's really, truly, all it ever was. It's a fun job (for me) and I'm staying. Do I feel any less secure about it? Not really, because I never feel completely secure in any job. I really and truly hope for everyone that they can find the opportunity to either stay with WF or go somewhere else, but whatever you do, don't let this or that company be the scale on which you measure yourself (because the WF scale will probably tell you you're worth more than you are-- haha) and just have fun and do it or find something you hate less. Peace! Oh, and if you are staying, perk up, buttercup.

I take it you live at home with wealthy parents and work part time?

I am a supervisor. I've worked at multiple stores. I have a car payment, mortgage, and a kid. I've never been fired from a job, but I have worked for a restaurant that closed overnight. They did not offer me as good a severance, that's for sure. I'm sorry, but if you believed you meant more to WF than you'd mean to any other corporate organization (or independent, for that matter), lay off the 365 soda.

172038 if it's just a job to you then quit...I assume you are not a supervisor or buyer....really anything high up solo of corse to you it's just a job...these are ppl who have been working there for years and they were comfortable. When you have a mortgage and kids to send off to college then tell us how convienient it is to be fired.

I can tell you have been fired from a lot of jobs. Not eveyone like to float through life.
