Calling your 'former' HR rep' ??? Surely you jest, that person absolutely doesn't give a crap about you now. You are an 'ex employee' - end of story.

Cobra package - unless you are extremely wealthy, you can't afford that.

And finally, correct your grammar. Sounds like a third grader.

It takes awhile for the Cobra package to come. If you have any questions, tho, I would call your former HR rep.

Where is the unemployment office, can you apply over the net or phone?

You can claim as soon as you are no longer employed, at least here in TX. Actual payment, I forget exactly how long after before it arrives, but there are a few posts here that are quite detailed. Mine was deposited a week or two after claiming. Cobra package/information came, if I recall correctly, maybe 3 or 4 weeks after leaving. As you know, Cobra is very expensive, so the alternative is ACA. We found even that was expensive, close to the rate paid by Hal and the employee.... I found too that the ACA option is not 'equal' either, few doctors want to take it, even the expensive plans, so it limits where you can go for treatment in my humble opinion...

pick up the phone and call them, they won't hesitate to call you if they need to.
