Chevron is not an exemplary company. This week a whole bunch of layoffs planned...likely from poor planning that got it into trouble. Word is that most management is safe and all the worker bees are getting terminated.

Chevron must be doing something so right... they only have one of the highest percentages of layoffs than any other company. Just when they thing they've gotten rid of enough people, they have another round. Yep... Chevron is such a shining star in the industry!

That's what you get when you only invest in shale (and heavy oil). A diversified portfolio will protect you in a tough market.
