This was in a letter to the editor that was published in Austin's Statesman newspaper:
In an attempt for Whole Foods Market to improve their stocks, they have forgotten about their most loyal customers: their employees. With the massive layoffs the company has enacted, they have compromised the core values that they used to hold with high regard. Most of the changes they are making will negatively impact customers, cutting positions that used to make Whole Foods stand out from other grocery stores. I would like to invite corporate management or shareholders to work a Sunday in my store with the current staff that we have and observe how the changes they’ve made will not “satisfy and delight customers” or “support long-term team member excellence or happiness.”
