my TL said there are really big labor cuts happening for grocery ,anyone else heard the same?

Michigan grocery TM here. Our team is already a skeleton crew that can barely get anything done. Today my TL told us they can't hire any new people now. The holidays are going to suck!
They put out a labor budget for grocery that they know is absolutely unobtainable, so I'm waiting for my pink slip in January.
