WFM is suppose to be a company that believes in the environment and blah blah blah but yet each night team members are forced to throw away 40+lbs of food from the hot bar, bakery, salad bar, etc. But we believe in helping our community? What a bunch of bull. WFM tou guys suck.

We donate to forgotten harvest, but all we can give them is the bread from the morning and produce. Everything else is thrown out unless we pull it a day early (as far as bakery floor items, which we don't pull early). All of our cakes are thrown out.

If we were to give damage goods TMs, wouldn't there be a possibility that some unethical TMs may be tempted to purposefully damage goods in order to place them in the 'give-away' queue?

There are many different shelters that can take different kinds of food. Also depends on where you live. Animal facilities also can take produce and certain kinds of dairy. Educate yourself, do some work, find a solution. Don't just whine like a bitch

Food is thrown away everyday.. from produce, eggs, prepared food, baked goods etc; and there are tm's who are scrounging to pay for bills... Charity starts at home! Shelters are great but why not feed the ones who work so hard!
It is wrong to throw the eggs away.I would rather give them away to customers.There are so many hungry people that would love to have those eggs.
It's amazing how many eggs are thrown away in dairy on a daily basis just because of one cracked shell. Why not give the rest of the eggs to prep foods or away to team members?

LoL get a shelter to come pick it up and I'll give you $500. The shelters won't take the leftovers unless it's packaged for shipment. Are you supposed to set it aside for the next day? Get real and get off your high horse, asshole.
