Will they accept volunteers this time? Hope so.
there is no list for Nov and I have not or heard anything to indicate a reduction before Jan. Having said that, if high level managers are let go nobody will know beforehand. I would expect a lot of departures between now and Jan so hopefully the list can be reduced. Right now it is very big, and still bottom heavy (ie mostly enginners not directors or above)

The first post of the rumor that QC was going to lay off 5000 was chastised. Look at what happened. That is reason why you have a better chance of getting a real story here than listening to QC HR.
An anonymous person on the internet says there's going to be more lay offs? Then it must be true. I actually do think there will be more myself. There were lots of cancelled requisitions and temps let go. We barely had enough FT employee cuts to get rid of engineering deadwood.
Cut the executives is the right option, two many of them.
November round will hit first.
