Thread regarding Chesapeake Energy Corp. layoffs

Anniversary of the 2013 massacre

I want to shout out and say hello to all my fellow colleagues who were cut back in 2013, two years ago to the day. Although both the 2013 and 2015 RIF events were bad, I do believe we had it better back in 2013 than those of you let go last month. I say that out of compassion, I wish everyone the best. It took me a while to end up where I am now and I lost quite a bit in the process but eventually things ended up ok. Good luck to everyone as you go forward on your new path.

From that time (2013) I know this company was way too top heavy, pissed away money like water and had no use for those of us who knew the industry and could have made it profitable. To all of you young punks who thought way too highly of yourselves and were clueless about the industry as long you stayed in your little tiny niches, and to all those worthless support position holders CHK had or still has, this layoff is well deserved. Remember those lectures concerning the generation issue. Well I have to say once retired, as I can now without any problem, you needed an 80's style life to wake up to reality. Look forward to the next round of layoffs.
