Perishable and Non-Perishable TL spots in Prescott, AZ- The Future?

Did anyone see the email that went out today announcing the "elevated TL" roles? It sounds like they are getting rid of TLs, downgrading ASTLs, and consolidating all the departments. Does anyone know anything about the Prescott store? Basically, this email convinced all the ATLs and TLs in my store that we're either out of a job very soon, or we're all going to have to go "Hunger Games" (literally and figuratively) on each other for what sounds like a very rapidly decreasing amount of career-roles within the store.

I talked to a former team member today from our store and she explained how kindly she was treated and the generous severance package that she got. I feel sorry for those who have worked for WF for so many years and feel betrayed. I am grateful for all of the good WF people that inspire me.

Thanks for the info. That email was terrible. I have to say, it doesn't ease my concerns for future consolidation despite the fact that my store is much bigger and does more sales.

Our store is tiny. It is probably smaller than the pfds department in Scottsdale. We have lost so many customers since we became WFM, but I saw a surge this past week. Maybe because of news of lower prices? I hope so.

Many of our leaders came from other stores. They are all very kind people and hope they will be treated well.

When I opened my email and saw that, I thought "that's pretty brazen"

You'd think that the retard who emailed that posting to every TL in the entire company in the midst of layoffs and consolidation rumors...might have had an issue. I wonder if she did it on purpose, as a warning, because I've never seen those TL designations before...even in small stores.

Very poorly handled - that email caused even more panic and distraction in our shared office space.

The Prescott store does less than 20k a day in sales. Dont see why they need TLs for every department, the sales dont support it.
