Can anyone in the know with Allstate, confirm? For 20 years of service my ex husband would get 2 weeks pay , per year worked, 20x2 =40 weeks pay, in lump sum.Correct ?

It is still 2 weeks for every year up to 52 weeks max. So you max out around 26 years of service as far as severance. Bear in mind they take out close to 50% up front for taxes and also it may push you into another tax bracket and/or you may fall into the AMT depending on your situation. I know people laid off several years ago that ended up paying close to 10k at tax time in addition to that which was taken out. Ridiculous.

I am not sure but I recall the 2 weeks for every year has been changed to something MUCH less following the health benefits ect. One rumor is that the are not going to give anything

Yes. You usually get 2 weeks for every year worked up to 52 weeks max. Rumors always flying that they might cut it down to 1 week, but I don't think so.
