You all need to do your research and, no, GI Bill money is not the Department of Defense. That would be the Department of Veterans Affairs. The DoD can pull their funding for any number of reasons. The University of Phoenix being under investigation is one of the primary reasons. Yes, EDMC is in a similar situation but, as has been seen in the headlines, that could be settled any time. The DoD funding is primarily the tuition assistance programs from the different military branches. The revenue received by EDMC through tuition assistance is more than likely less than 3%. Had this been a suspension of the GI Bill it would probably be a much bigger issue, but it could be looked at as the first of a number of dominoes to fall.

Yes 810 the original poster is correct. No more GI Bill money for UoP which IS controlled by the DOD not DOE. So basically if the same standard is applied to EDMC then the doors shut. Remember 90-10? Well if you take away the GI Bill from most of the EDMC schools then they fail to get 10% of their revenue from sources other than Title IV. And everyone knows they can get their students to pay a dime of cash as the poor students can't even afford a $50/month payment plan. The DOD is holding the final nail to the coffin and it's only a matter of time before its hammered in.
I thought it was the department of dildos!
Anonymous176810 - You really should read the news. Yes, department of defense is correct in this case.
What the hell the d o d ( department of defense) have to do with education at this level? It's d o e ( department of education ) you moron.
