Way too many innocent victims involved in this mess. Union is our only hope to have a say or a way of defense from this crap happening again. The Company has lost the vision, core values, Guest loyalty and trust, and most importantly the respect and commitment of its TMs. I've been in the business over 14 years and have never experienced anything like this before. The time to start making a difference is now! Best believe the fallen would have acted much sooner if they would have had the slightest thought that this Company would result to firing this many people.

What about a 12:30pm Friday Oct. 16th national walk out/protest for better communication, better benefits, better full time ratio, better all around HR process and to bring awareness that WFM doesn't value their TMs as they once did. To bring awareness to the nation and media. And if things don't change, a union will be called in.

So what's our next move? Organizing an event? Media?

Been here for 10 years, and treated like Sh?$t. I'm ready for a union, I have nothing to lose at this point.

If we got local media involved, it could really cause some issues.

We are all being purged after the holidays. Or you can take part time at $10 an hour doing the same job for a scumbag corporation. No thanks.

A walk out would cause them so much more bad publicity, it would be fantastic.

I say we should unionize! I'm a specialist and my very meager pay is barely making ends meet. I don't live extravagantly! I've been here for almost 10 years, however I expect to be purged after the holidays.

We need to get the customers up in arms about what is going on. They don't realize it yet, but what they knew as Whole Foods Market no longer exists.

Never been a big union supporter, but they are becoming more and more attractive at this point.

It's so funny how union guys think that spamming this forum will yeild more positive views towards unionization. I think they create an opposite effect where folks visiting this site (and there are thousands of them) are perceiving union fan boys here as being simply annoying

I'm staying at my job you can do what you want to do but if you do call out or protest or no-show you better believe that you're going to be the one without a job not me.

I'm looking for new jobs, too. I'm also down to walk off in solidarity. I think if we came together we could do this.

Sick out would be sweet two days before Thanksgiving but no one will do it. Too fearful. They are going to need everyone through the holiday season for their Super Bowl of sales. Come January all the hard work will be celebrated with more lay offs. Prepare yourselves are start looking for new employment now
