Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

A sincere post: What's our motivation?

Positions will be consilidated, leaving little room for career advancement. Gainsharing will be modified in a way that hurts us. There has been no clear vision, the company is on the defensive. Labor is cut. Wages won't grow. 365 stores are taking over? Are they? Di we even know? Benefits will grow thinner. Schedules and availability will continue to lessen morale. It's all so sad because I genuinely like the people I work and now we're working underneath a hypocritical umbrella, using values and catchphrases simply as a business angle. So let down.

I have zero motivation now, except to see this corporation fail. Working hard for these clowns for all those years got me nowhere. They promote people based soley on the way that they look or dress. Hard work and dedication are universally frowned upon.

I couldn't do it, so I just got out. I'm sad but also feel like I escaped a sinking ship. I had to take a pay hit but there are plenty of $11/$12 dollar per hour jobs out there with room to advance. Might as well start fresh and not have to pretned I still work in an 'amazing' company. F*** them. I had over ten years invested and was damn good at what I did. Glad I got out before the holidays. We were already running so thin before the layoffs and morale tanking, it will be awful this year.

I have never been more depressed about work. It's very difficult to be so uninvested. Super uncomfortable.

I feel fooled ever believing in this company. Grateful to the people I had worked with. Great people store level. Poor business decisions higher up.
