Severance this Friday?

We should expect another check Friday correct?

I received my notice pay (the correct amount via calculation in my packet), my pto, and last regular wage but not the actual severance amount as of yet.

Going the be throughly irritated if it's not in my account Friday morning. Just want to be officially separated from this place.

Or, how about this, guys: what if they send you an ADDENDUM to the severance document you originally signed on Oct 9th. Adding in an entire paragraph! I don't think that is very kosher.

If you have received, signed and returned your packet already you should get your final severence pay within 7 business days.

I have yet to receive a packet was told if i did not get it by the 16th to call and will make expedited arrangements to get it sent again. Im hoping theyd just email a pdf my former tmsl could print and whatever versus waiting on ups.

The time frames were adjusted when they changed our effective severence dates the the 9th of october. This was done so all the tms notified before then had until the end of october to use benefits versus the 30th of september. In doi ng so, it gave wfm more time to issue the final part of the severence based on service hours.

Originally you would have gotten your service hours severence on the 16th had they not changed the effective date, but youd have no benefits anymore.

It could be as late as the 21st or so dlepending on when you take care of your packet paperwork. Beyond that, you cam persue legal action but I would make every effort (and document all your interactions with dates, time and details of conversations) to contact them and give reasonable time to respond and comply.

While some people may believe they have been patient enough, they are still within federal laws on this, socyou couldnt do much until the timeframe has been exhausted and you did, foreseeably, all you could to obtain your paperwork to complete the process and receive your final severene.

If you havr already signed the paperwork, you cannot do anything until the period for payment by law has expired. After that, they are fairgame for nonpayment of severence and wages.

I know we all want what we were promised and are irritated at the delays and non communications, but it is illadvised to become overly agressive. You only hurt your case if you do not remain calm, collected and detailed oriented. Impulsive actions and ignorance of the law do you know good.

Feel free to seek legal counsel to explore what your options could be if things do not work out as planned and required by law. Otherwise, be patient.

Unlike most it seems, i have been blessed with good communication with my former leadership, but I built those relationships, I take the initiative and I am careful in my wording, tone and the exact questions I ask in order to ensure that this situation will fall in my favor should they not comply with the law.

Peace.

Yes, so Oct 9th was the date for 8-week notice and PTO payouts. Oct 16th is the day that they've designated to deliver all of the service hour payout packets. So, we should all be getting them this Friday. After we sign the papers and Mail the packet back, it will take Global up to 7 days to process the paperwork. After that, they will either cut a check or directly deposit the money in you account. Hope that eases some anxiety on the issue (:

You are doing better than I am. No packet in the mail yet. Was supposed to have PTO and Notice pay directly deposited last Thursday or Friday. No communication from anyone. Found out today that Central "missed" me. Stuck. Can't file for unemployment until I get the packet information. New date is the 16th. There is absolutely nothing I can do but wait. Very frustrating
