We got a short email today from management indicating that layoffs in the HOU and BVO aviation operations were happening but no details were given. Does anyone know which employee groups were hit and how many people were let go?

COP was already leasing the building they purchased in Houston. They have no need for another building in Bartlesville.
After ConocoPhillips abandons Bartlesville the shuttle to and from serves no purpose. ConocoPhillips did just purchase a new building in Houston with no such headlines for Bartlesville.
GCBU HSE and Regulatory let go 6 employees. Only 2 raised their hand - the other 4 were laid off. :(
Endless 3rd parties to manage aviation for ConocoPhillips. The equipment can be leased via one 3rd party and the operations can be managed via another 3rd party. The travel department does add value.

Word here on the north slope is that it's a done deal that Hill Corp is buying the north slope 737 shuttle operation, selling the 737's, and buying and reconditioning a bunch of old DC-3s that have been rotting away down in Puerto Rico. This new shuttle operation is to be closely based upon America's most hated low cost carrier, Allegiant Airlines. Some, but not all of the current Conoco pilots and flight attendants will be given a chance to interview for these new jobs, all of which will pay about 60% of their former Conoco jobs. Make sure to bring a parka to wear as you go to your next hitch on the slope. Those DC3s don't have very good heaters at 40 degrees below zero.
What sad times are these. Time to go work at P66 if I ever want to fly in the jump seat.
All aviation Ops to be terminated. P66 will take over all HOU and BVO Ops with CP paying P66 for services. Rebranding of assets has begin.
