We supposedly laid off 1000 people in Houston alone. However, in looking at the org charts that came out, it seems like only those who raised their hands were let go. I don't know how that number can be so big. The number supposedly excludes the RAE casualties... So, question-- who among you are left standing, and what group are you in?

I definitely will not miss the workpace breaks... I had to reapply for my own job while two positions above me had only one person qualified for each role... Another spot on the team was taken by someone hired from another group with zero relevant experience for the role...
In ROM-2 (notifications Oct 8) over 3,000 people were left standing. This group competed for about 260 jobs, 200 of which were already held by an incumbent who was forced to re-post for his/her own job. Some of these positions with incumbents were added to the pool in cases where they wanted to reduce to say 3 positions instead of 5, so they chose the best three of the incumbents. In effect, these 200 positions weren't really part of the greater ROM, so in fact there were only 60 jobs for over 3,000 people.
We who survived the RIFs and ROMs know we are the best, we follow The Chevron Way and are world class! Yous that lost you're jobs got what yous deserved! Cry somwheres else!
178462 you are the dead wood! You are right it is easy to tell!
Dead wood? You really don't know what you are talking about. But I see it as a blessing and a favor.
Agree with OP; I do not know many people left standing out of UC, ITC, ETC.. though I must admit that I don't know that many folks in ES or HES.
You guys are just a bunch of dead wood complaining for the most part who deserve what's coming to you. Every now and then I read a legitimate complaint. It's easy to tell the dead wood on this board.
Those left at Chevron after this ROM and the next one in the spring, will be a lot like those who were with Enron in its last year. They thought they were the smartest guys and gals in the room.
What!?!?!? There are many I see going that did not raise their hand and wanted to stay. That crowd you speak of is in the minority
I did not raise my hand and I am gone. BUT, I am typing away with no Work Pace interruptions!! yeah
There are several people that I know of, who didn't raise their hands, and are leaving.
