Thread regarding Baker Hughes Inc. layoffs

THANK GOD FOR THE OPPORTUNITY NEVER TO WORK HERE

From the reviews posted on this forum, I'm thankful. BH had a high reputation in my book. Prior to the merger, I considered migrating over to Baker's camp and I cannot be thankful enough based off comments I read here. Unless, maybe, some posters are pained.

Great response 179357. I'd assume most BHI employees do not comment on here. The comments I've read so far is pathetic.

You must be idiot or lying. Who're posting here are not a small bunch or two handfuls. Tell him the truth, who posting here many ppl & from wide countries, US, UK, Canada, Middle East, Africa, Pacific, ..etc. Many were dedicated to their work as managers, experts, engineers & technicians. They coming & posting here to exchange what they heard of & last news about layoff announcements and facilities being closed. No body denying experience got by BHI but we discuss how BHI management are playing and wiling. They are laying off good people with wide experiences and keep useless staff because of good relationship with them. We all differentiate between baker & its management. Yes we are thankful to baker as company not to the bullshit management. In the meantime we criticizing the behavior of higher management level. Hope the picture is clear now to you.

There is only a small bunch and maybe less than two handfuls posting on here from BHI. The majority of the employee are very grateful for the Opprotunity and the knowledge they have gained and can take with them anywhere. The merger was a disappointment just because of the competitiveness of the orginization. The market definitely made the decisions of what we see happening right now and Baker was not the only company to see mass lay offs. This is the market we choose to work in and we have all been made aware of markets in the past that have had similar consequences and still chose to work here. The decisions being made do not always make sense but many oil and gas companies have been put out of business this year alone. It is a tough market and a tough business. Many good people and many very knowledgable people without a job. Just remember that it will come back and that each of us were looking for a job when we found this one and many like myself are currently looking for another after being layed off. The relationships I have built are the hardest to get over but I can not thank BHI enough for the Opprotunity for the last 15 years.
