Marketing TLs in North Texas were not on a call today. Please specify who this call was for, and who was on it?

@178786 So are you a store MKT TL? Were you on the call last week where Rick Findley said our jobs were safe? I know we're keeping one Demo TM per store (they pay for their own labor with demos) and one FT GA per store (custom and chalks) but last Friday they said the SW elected to keep a MKT in each location for events and community. So this changed?

Sure Mackey, get your goons to back you up. The shit has already hit then fan and is already out the box. Thats the beauty of this site. You can't control us from sharing information to our brothers and sisters in other regions.

@Wtfseriously there was definitely a call for Marketing today around 9:30-10 in the SW. It wasn't positive. Not too be an asshole, but I hope you enjoyed your day off. I'm sorry in advance.

OP and comments suggesting southwest region. Possibly varies per region though. But others have already made this transition though

You think customers will feel the effect of a store not having a marketing tl?

That's the new trimmed structure in the Florida region.

Just got out of that stupid conference call and my STL has the nerve to ask, "so how are you feeling?" REALLY!?!?! How the f*** do you think I feel you stupid douchebag! 3 kids at home and I'm not guaranteed a job once January arrives? Not to mention the holidays are around the corner. This stupid idiot feels the need to reiterate his expectations through the holidays which he gave us at our holiday planning meeting. I responded "I'm due for a lunch". This company is shit and will always be shit as long as STLs and leaders like him are apart.

SW Region Marketing TM here. I did want to verify that there was a meeting called and some important key points are as follows. They told us that by Jan, all marketing materials will be handed down from the Regional Office. ( which makes sense because most materials are already done that way, plus department TLs are being trained to make their own signage.) There will be ONE Metro Marketing TL that will be in charge of social media sites and one "ATL". (They are also doing the Maintenance position this way as well). They are however keeping 1 FT Lead Demo position at each store with direction to book as many vendors and also raising the demo fee $15. Of course they tried to stress the importance to these changes by "lowering process and being competitive". They also made the comment that they had opportunities during the last layoffs by not preparing/communicating to the TMs that this was going to happen and wanted to give us that opportunity to plan ahead. They will be keeping the same Severance Package as before, 8 weeks pay, 1 paycheck per 2,000 service hours, and include our PTO payout if we have any which varies per TM. The shit storm will continue until we are skin and bones on the store level, but keeping it fat at that top and regional levels. The customers will take notice in our culture change, the lack of service, and the quality of products due to all these changes. It's only going to get worse. I personally will hold on for the ride just to relieve my severance. It's been fun and I met a lot of great people. I wish it didn't have to end this way, but it's part of the business. Good luck!
