MA (LEX) was shrunk to a super-store model as of 9/28. Looks like we're making labor with the new skeleton crew, so yay?

MW flagship store got its labor cut even more than other stores because we are expected to make it up through increased sales. The grass isn't always greener on the other side.
my store in the red double digits...and the shoppers are getting pissed off at the service and the lines at registers(a-la-walmart)..the rich and glamorous feel they are above lines...
i'd like to know what the labor budgets are for those flagships stores with all the venues and stuff...gotta be higher than the run of the mill stores..
At a new store here in the mw region. Sales are way below forecasts and my labor is being cut a whole percent. Meanwhile the flagship mw store is making labor by tens of thousands, no joke.
I keep an eye on the region as a whole and we are up slightly, but only because New stores are thrown into the mix. Existing stores are consistently red with a few occasional black spots. We are essentially Starbucks circa ten years ago.
there are a couple of stores in florida that are a no-go also...
Rumor has it the HPk store in southwest region will close down by the end of the year. Uptown store just opened not even 10 miles away. Sales are down big time... I know a lot of customers that told me they won't shop here after they laid off some of their favorite people. To this day I have not seen about 40+ customers not shopping here. I hope HPk does shut down. I don't care I only have 3 days left and am out of this hell hole... On to bigger and better things..
Hawaii stores double digit comps. No competition at all. Big store downtown opening in about a year.

that loud mouth cramer on cnbc thinks this earnings report will be bleak on nov. 4th..but he(as always promoting us) thinks the stock will go even lower but present an opportunity for investment banks to buy up more of our stock...get ready....
smores on the grapevine doesnt go back beyond a couple years...if you want to investigate sales over several years and how much they have cut your labor budgets over that period of time..

Days are long gone for double digits comps. Now you deal with negative numbers or single digit, if luck!
Things aren't going to get any better. It's all down hill from this point.

If you're a TM you can check sales through Smores reports, through the grapevine as well. Sounds like you're really new, or not a TM.
MA store... Negative comps. Now with labor cut no hope to catch up... Downward spiral.
hah.......no investor just trying to keep dialogue going between regions and stores...im interested in what may be in store for holidays..i know in my region many stores aint comping..and at my store we our down due to too many stores in the area...are you rahobed or harobed??
