Left the office late tonight and was talking to a maintenance bloke who works for GWL (building manager). Looks like they're shuttering all the west side washrooms, both male and female, in Gulf Canada Square over the long weekend. Guy wasn't too happy about working over the long weekend. Doing this at Conoco's request to save some costs. In other news, Shoppers Drug Mart has a sale on adult diapers this week......

I can tell from the ignorant misspellings and rude comments that most of these comments come from turd-takers (and turd-makers when they are supposedly "working") who are disloyal and dismayed that they signed up for a company that they misjudged. Nobody promised you anything but pay, and YOU agreed. Get some initiative and get off the pot and get a job you like if you can't take it. Your whining is pathetic. Worst company with the worst group of workers I've ever worked for (and yes, I'm still employed here). It will be a hash world for those let go of, who never had to do a real days work, who know nothing outside attending useless meetings

"Obviously assuming"? You sure have a large concrete block on your shoulder. The company has rules and has developed this new culture, and ALL employees should have done likewise. You my friend, obviously have not adopted the Spirit Values, and if you haven't already been let go, you will be found, most likely in the crapper doing overtime. You should never forget, it is the company that pays you to do work, not crap. ;-)
That's obviously assuming all hard working folks get recognized and promoted, and not the select few who suck up to management and pretend to be hard working!
I wouldn't call that a very wise man in today's professional world and new way of thinking. It certainly isn't a SMART goal that will take this wise man very far in his career path.
As a wise man in the construction business once said "Don't sweat on the company time and don't crap on your own time."
They are probably tired of folks hiding out in the crapper, reading the paper or playing on their phones while doing their business, then leaving a mess and stench. People should become regular and do that crap at home. I've seen folks migrate from other floors to use the crapper in the mornings because they don't want their boss recognizing where they are every morning. ConocoPhillips shouldn't have to pay folks to crap. These folks will be the first to go.
All the more reason to promote working from home for employees. They could require we use webcams, heck they monitor our keystrokes and apps anyway!
