Everyone to Houston. Mayberry fantasy life is over. Getty ready for Houston traffic, sell the lake house on grand lake. Your days of pooping out and raising kids in smallesville are numbered. Welcome to the ghetto in the swamp known as Houston.

Houston has always bashed Bartlesville. I've lived and worked in both locations. I constantly hear jokes and comments regarding Bartlesville as if Houston is some kind of Utopia. The entire culture is different between offices, but I've never understood the mutual hate between them. Both serve their purpose. To be fair, the same jokes and comments are made from the front office regarding the back office. It's just immature people acting unprofessional.

Are you saying that this company couldn't exist without Bartlesville? Of course they could replace the jobs in Houston. Many companies close down a location and move jobs to headquarters. I'm not saying its happening but Bartkesville needs to wake up because good chance it will some day.

They cannot possibly replace all positions in Bartlesville by Houston. Every department has different roles especially specialized groups. If that was the case there would be no layoffs in Houston which is not the case. Stop discounting Bartlesville. This whole blog seems to bash and discount Bartlesville by Houstons every chance they can get.

Could some of the jobs be filled by employees in Houston that have already been laid off by other companies? No need to relocate employees from Bartlesville ot Houston with a huge pool of qualified candidates in Houston.

Could some of the jobs be filled by employees already in Houston that might get laid off otherwise?

That's right. They will send the jobs to Houston not the people.
