This kind of thing happens fairly often. The PM of a major project in Canada had a relationship that went beyond the call of duty with a couple of his subordinates. So did the Development Manager of an another project. In both cases the subordinates did well, their bosses didn't.

Employees having sex is not new news. One supervisor in Bartlesville made a spectacle of himself with the terms of endearment for a contractor in project meetings. The daily lunches together was too much. Involvement with HR and Ethics finally put an end to the situation to avoid a sexual harassment lawsuit. Now sex between equals such as two employees or two contractors (or three) is relations without the lawsuit.
Maybe bang was the wrong word to use, but it was referring to 3 people having "relations" in a conference room.
