I talk to co-workers, particularly younger ones who say "I hope I don't have to look for a job." In other words, they aren't looking, which they should be......as should everyone. It's just the prudent thing to do. Experts will always say it is easier to find a job when you have a job. So, if you are watching this board and just hoping, you're wasting valuable time. Part of your job should be to find a job.

And the individuals in the non specialized roles such as finance and information technology are competing with individuals involved with layoffs at other oil and gas companies in the geographic regions with a focus on oil and gas. The Houston, OKC and Tulsa job markets are without.
I agree but a lot of us are specialized in oil and gas and there are no jobs available.
I have already been talking to multiple companies. Even if I make it through the cuts I don't see myself here in another 6 months.
