I cant blame an engineer who at some point qualified a full time job in such hard requirement company like Q ... the problem is working under stupid mangment. Mangment is the key that can make you successful or worth nothing in HR point of view, not the employee who alway does what told to do working around the clock. Unfortunately, now employees and their families are paying for mangment mislead.

An overabundance of redundant management is one of Qualcomm's biggest problems. I have seen many managers and senior managers with no direct reports. 9 was told these individuals are typically antisocial and target than fire then, HR just removes thier direct reports. I know of 2 on the 2nd floor of AR and 1 on the 1st. I'm sure there are hundreds. Who says HR and management are not on cahoots? Certainly none of us engineers on the chopping block

I'm guessing managers could spell "management" correctly.

If QCOM were truly interested in cutting the bottom line, they would have streamlined and flattened their employee pyramid scheme and started with the redundant managers, directors, and VPs who have little or no technical expertise. Management costs them on average about twice as much as an engineer.
